Beside Martin Buber

I just realized that on the wikipedia page about Living Education, my name is on the reference list beside Martin Buber. That's keeping in good company. As I've been reflecting on my work over the years I've realized that while I think about my work as environmental people think about trees and water and rocks when I say environment. My feeling about education is larger than that. It includes the human dimensions of thought, feeling, sensing, and interconnectedness. It feels good to settle into the reality of how people see my work rather than my old adept of wanting them to see it as I see it. It feels much more respectful of social norms rather than battling with them.
